New Year Celebration - January 1st
A cause for celebration, the New Year is celebrated in all hotels, restaurants and other places in Macau. The government regularly gives a free firework display at midnight at the Nam Van Lakes. The whole city is decorated in its finest; you’ll see a mix of Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year decor: three events that come one after the other.

Ching Ming Festival
April falling on the 106th day after the Winter Solstice, Ching Ming is a family affair. It is the day when relatives go to visit their ancestors' graves. They clean the tombstones and arrange fresh flowers and three glasses of wine before them.

The 15th day of the First Moon is the Lanterns Festival. This festival is similar to Western culture’s Valentine's Day in the Chinese tradition.
